Paul was taken away from us, by one of those accidents anybody could have, on Friday 17 October 2003. The details aren’t clear yet, and while it is frustrating not to know exactly what happened or where and when, the end result is – sadly – the same. There will be more information if and when it surfaces, but primarily this space is for the friends and family of Paul (or Shaggy or Magical…) to remember him. Apologies if you think this is naff or over-sentimental, but we may not have the chance for a formal memorial – and anyway, that notion would probably be too solemn and serious for a man like Paul.

Please contribute to the Tributes page. This site is meant for all the many, many people who knew and loved Paul to tell how they feel and what they want to remember, rather than have one person impose their memory of him. Whatever you want to write, feel free. If you want to rant at the injustice of losing him too soon, or be happy that you just got to spend some time with him, please share it, because there are people – scattered across the UK, France, Thailand, USA and elsewhere – feeling the same things.

If you have pictures you want to share, we’ll make that possible. And we’ll be sharing information about meeting up to celebrate the life of our dear friend.
